Readymade portrait on a postcard, sent to you in an envelope.

Screenshot and Upscaling
It was late. I was lying in bed watching YouTube sideways on my laptop. I was in the middle of a long 1966 public television interview with Andy Warhol. I fell asleep.
I awoke to find my face had fallen onto the keyboard. The video was paused on this frame. It was perfect.
Warhol was sharing with me his whole take on art, commerce, and fame, distilled into this single-fingered gesture of blasé rebellion. It was a readymade portrait, as if he had come to me in a dream to pick the frame himself.
Honoring his spirit, I left as much of the remaining production as possible to machines: screenshot, upscale, and send to a postcard printer. The artist’s hand is nowhere to be found.
