This stand in this prototype includes a moon (death) and storehouse (self) - see poem in the picture for details.
Includes the deck of cards, and on each card is a poem.
In the few days before a monk dies, they often write one of these poems. It is their single vision of life…or death….or the space in between life and death. After a life of daily meditation and practiced reflection, this is what they see; it’s their take. These poems aren’t all the same – there is a lot of range to them – but overwhelmingly they make a new opening into mortality.
Included is a desk stand for you to rest your deck. Each day you can pull in new card and place it upfront.
Includes cards and the handmade desk stand.
(You can find more of these poems in the Yoel Hoffman's excellent collection)
