This is a deck of cards and on each card is a poem.
In the few days before a monk dies, they often write one of these poems. It is their single vision of life…or death….or the space in between life and death. After a life of daily meditation and practiced reflection, this is what they see; it’s their take. These poems aren’t all the same – there is a lot of range to them – but overwhelmingly they make a new opening into mortality.
Also available with a desk stand for a few bucks more.
(You can find more of these poems in the Yoel Hoffman's excellent collection)
